Youth and Democracy

  • youth and democracy

Participation in policymaking is one of the cornerstones of democratic countries. However, not all citizens are aware of how they can influence the processes around them. According to a study conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science, one of the lowest indicators is youth participation in shaping local, national, and international policies—only a quarter of young people regularly take advantage of opportunities to engage. The aim of this project is to help young people understand how they can influence the development of their region and country through democratic processes and explore their opportunities to participate in policymaking at the local, national, and international levels.
