Project objectives

To develop the entrepreneurship environment of Vidzeme Planning Region (VPR) and reduce social exclusion by promoting employment and competitiveness opportunities in the region.

Activities

1. Strengthening the capacity of the Vidzeme Entrepreneurship Centre (VEC) and local governments of the Vidzeme planning region;
2. Promotion of Vidzeme region and it' s identity locally and internationally;
3. Regional mentoring of youth entrepreneurship;
4. Support to increase employment and competitiveness, implementing region-specific activities.

Results

1. Entrepreneurship support capacity strengthened in local governments;
2. The entrepreneurship support capacity of VPR enhanced;
3. 4 co-creation/co-working spaces created within the territory of VPR;
4. Local produce market promoted and strengthened;
5. The identity of Vidzeme region strengthened;
6. 3 foreign trade missions organised;
7. 2 visits by foreign sector-specific media organised;
8. 3 events of Vidzeme Inspiration Stories organised;
9. The development of local companies has been supported, ensuring the attraction of the necessary experts;
10. 4 youth product idea development marathons organised;
11. 3 product idea development marathons organised for entrepreneurs in smart specialisation areas defined by the VPR;
12. 6 networking events for entrepreneurs, educational and scientific institutions organised.
