Supporting the Regional Development of the Green Hydrogen Fuel Value Chain for Transportation in Estonia and Latvia (H2Value)
Hydrogen is receiving growing attention in Europe and around the world. This is largely because using hydrogen does not emit CO2 and it can be used in multiple sectors including industry, transport, power and building sectors, making it an ideal energy carrier to decarbonise large swaths of the most energy intensive sectors. Further, investment into hydrogen will foster sustainable growth and jobs. In fact, the EC recovery plan highlights the need to unlock investments in key clean technologies and value chains; stressing hydrogen as one of the essential areas to support a clean energy transition. The project Supporting the Regional Development of the Green Hydrogen Fuel Value Chain for Transportation in Estonia and Latvia (H2Value) will establish the first interregional green hydrogen value chain in South Estonia (Tartu) and Northern Latvia (Vidzeme region).
