Project objectives
- Implementing actions to support skills development, social inclusion, critical thinking and new participatory andintercultural approaches to heritage, as well as educational initiatives aimed at fostering the intercultural dialogue.
- Creating an innovative training path in the field of promotion of territories in order to foster the profile of the“Specialist in Cultural Heritage and Attractive Living Environment.
- Achieving the skills development of adult learners, above all the ones with low skills and/or unemployed,citizens, including migrants, by developing useful tools and methods, improving their soft skills.
- Contributing to raising awareness of the importance of Europe' s cultural heritage – tangible and intangible -through education, informal and non-formal learning, in the context of the European Year of Cultural Heritage2018.
Activities
- Mapping of existing initiatives and training opportunities in the fields of cultural heritage, tourism, local development, environment and eco-tourism and identification of missing supply through interviews and surveys.
- Development of training modules for pilot courses (teaching materials and resources) based on the specific needs of the area; testing of a pilot course (at least 150 hours).
- Policy recommendations and recommendations for the inclusion of tested competences in ECVET (European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training).
Results
- Learners with new competences and skills for high quality services; the knowledge gained will be used to promote cultural and tourism heritage more effectively.
- Innovative training tools assigned to adult learners, above all to participants with low skills and unemployed,including migrants.
- Concrete specialized skills for territorial specialists in order to better gather the opportunities given by 2018European Year of Cultural Heritage and by Europe 2020 challenges.
