Project objectives

RITS-Net objective is to help Regions developing individual ITS regional plans to be integrated in each overall mobility master plan and provide a common methodology to be further replicated.

Activities

1. Experience exchange trips.
2. Development of a common methodology and guidelines for promoting sustainable transport.
3. Knowledge on intelligent transport system solutions.
4. Development of regional sustainable transport plans.

Results

1. Improved regional sustainable transport policy through: - Exchange of experience on troubleshooting, finding solutions and new knowledge on ITS deployment; - Development of a common methodology.
2. Development of a brochure on sustainable transport policy and the use of ITS in partner regions.
3. Compendium of ITS technical solutions developed.
4. An experiment on the use of ITS in transport service provision in some partner regions.
5. Guidelines for the promotion of sustainable transport using ITS solutions have been developed.
