Project objectives

To gain knowledge and contacts that will help to develop new products and promote them. To increase capacity of regional food processors, to promote new business initiatives, which will help to extend and improve existing activities and will have positive impact on socio-economic development of the region.

Activities

Experience exchange visits of Latvia’s food cluster members (monitoring institution and food processors) with similar clusters and their members in Finland (3 days) and Sweden (3 days), which are working already for many years and have experience and knowledge in all the issues connected to the food cluster. Visits will help to get knowledge and experience for companies which participated, as well as will promote cluster cooperation aime to plan and implement of joint measures, promote processing of innovative and knowledge-based products demanded in the world markets.

Results

Promoted trans-national co-operation between national clusters and their members, links between food processing companies and other stakeholders created and built capacity of regional food processors.
