Project objectives

Improve regional development policy instruments in partner regions, addressing the root causes of territorial climate change vulnerability and promoting proactive disaster management planning.

Activities

  1. 6 workshops & 2 study visits to promote capacity building
  2. 2-year joint policy planning procedures
  3. 4 joint thematic studies on territorial needs and 47 good practices to guide policy improvements
  4. 8 regional infodays, 1 EU-wide policy learning event

Results

Through joint policy learning and shared experiences, partners will strengthen their territorial policies. They will focus on advancing regulatory alignment and climate resilience planning, highlighting the role of civil protection in climate governance. Additionally, they will address climate uncertainty, improve risk assessments, promote inclusive approaches to hazard management, and mobilize investments for resilient infrastructure.

Total budget: 1,829,469.00 EUR

Vidzeme Planning Region: 164,831.00 EUR
