Project objectives

Fostering cooperation between business support environments in four Latvian regions to attract investment and develop SMEs' export potential.

Activities

  1. Experience exchange visits to five regions of Latvia to promote good practice, cooperation and networking between regional business support centres, exploring the regional business environment in four areas - food production, agriculture, tourism and woodworking.
  2. A "Training Game" as a method for training and cooperation.
  3. Three videos on tourism, agriculture, food production, wood processing and one video on the Zemgale planning region were produced to promote the regional business environment in specific areas.
  4. Various communication activities and a final workshop to promote public awareness and the sustainability of the project results.

Results

  1. Technical capacity of business support centres increased to foster a supportive business environment.
  2. Raised awareness of regional business support centres about the regional business environment in Latvia in four areas - food production, agriculture, tourism and wood processing.
