Project objectives
To strengthen the alliance between the actors of the regional innovation systems in the target regions to connect and combine competences to find new solutions and to support commercialization of innovations towards sustainable bioeconomy in the rural regions of BSRActivities
1. Piloting transnational innovation process for open BSR bioeconomy network via three pilot groups and dedicated activities (workshops, hackatons, faciltated R&D and industry cooperation): food innovation pilot; forest innovation pilot; technolgy innovation pilot. 2. Piloting the innovation working methods for transnational co-creation dialogue: designing the innovation working methods for transnational co-creation dialogue; extending Open Innovation Community of Biobord; upgrading Biobord Operating Model. Results
1. Concrete joint agendas established for the alliance between the actors of the regional innovation systems in the target regions in order to connect and combine competences to find new solutions and to support commercialization of innovations towards sustainable bioeconomy in the rural regions of BSR. 2. Effective innovation working methods for building transnational co-creation dialogue between business and research have been learned and integrated into a long-term co-operation model and network agreement between the actors of the regional innovation systems in the target regions. The lessons on tested practices in building a cocreation dialogue are applied as institutionalized knowledge and competence both in the context of regional innovation systems as well as in the transnational context of the Biobord network and platform. 3. The transnational co-creation dialogue implemented in the transnational innovation pilots has revealed potential solutions for joint challenges as well as allowed assessment of potential solutions in the context of the transition to sustainable and viable knowledge-based bioeconomy in the rural regions of the BSR. Target groups have gained knowledge on the most potential bioeconomy subsectors and the promising interfaces in the target regions for developing higher added value bioeconomy products and related services and knowledge-based jobs. 4. The open community of bioeconomy developers connected by the Biobord platform has grown and the exchange and transfer of knowledge within the community is increased. The growing network and increasing interaction support all involved actors and target regions with generation of new ideas as well as with enhanced the transfer of knowledge on the potential of rural bioeconomy in BSR and proven practices on application of the smart specialization approach.Budget
