Project objectives
Boost the Deployment of Low-Temperature District Heating Systems across the participating regions. Enhance Territorial Heat Planning to maximize the use of low-grade and renewable energy sources, particularly geothermal energy. Facilitate the Establishment of Thermal Energy Communities, empowering local regions and citizens to take part in sustainable energy solutions. Increase Investments in Green Heating and Cooling Technologies, supporting the EU' s transition to a sustainable energy future.Activities
The project involves 9 partners from 8 EU countries, who will work together to share best practices, identify challenges, and propose targeted solutions for each region. Key activities include: Hosting 8 workshops (including 3 virtual workshops) and organizing 1 study visit for capacity-building purposes. Conducting 4 thematic studies to analyze territorial needs and recommend solutions. Improving 8 policy instruments (PIs) to promote the adoption of green heating and cooling technologies. Organizing 8 info days to inform stakeholders and the public about project developments. Results
Improved efficiency of regional heating and cooling systems. Increased use of renewable energy sources in heating and cooling. Implementation of innovative solutions in the energy sector. Development of proposals for the transition to more modern heat networks. Enhanced competence of local specialists and stakeholders. Improved regional policies and strategies for sustainable heating and cooling. 8 workshops (3 online) and 1 study visit for capacity building. 5 thematic studies to identify territorial gaps and adopt best practices. 8 improved policy instruments (PIs). 8 info days.Budget
