During the first reporting period the Association undertook activities within all component of the project with special focus on communication and dissemination and identification of potential good practices. In order to introduce the project the members of the Association, the information about the project was presented during two meetings with senior local and regional decision makers.
On 30th March 2012 around 40 delegates of the XXVI General Assembly of the Association were informed about the objectives of the project, as well as the results of the first study visits to Northern Karelia, Finland. During the second meeting, on 25th May 2012 the Executive Board of the Association was briefed about the ongoing and future activities within the project. Apart from presenting the project at political meetings, the Association took steps to actively engage representatives of entrepreneurs, as well as tourist and social organisations in the project activities. On 17th May 2012 the project and its first good practices were presented at a working meeting with members of local tourist companies, tourist cluster and social organisations working with the senior community. On 20th June 2012 representatives of the Association met with the Warmia-Mazury Regional Tourist Organisation to discuss potential good practices in the region. Furthermore, the partner worked on the identification of good practices in both the Pomorskie and Warmia-Mazury regions and prepared relevant analyses on regional tourism and demographic changes. Finally, as far as future activities are concerned, the Association will participate in the upcoming project events and study visits, and continue its work on finding new interesting good practices dedicated to the development of senior tourism.
